Volvo Unveils C70 Inscription in LA

In a recent announcement, Volvo revealed that production of the popular C70 Convertible would come to an end in 2013. McLaughlin Volvo is sad to see it go, but that doesn't mean we're not excited to see how the Swedish automaker plans to say goodbye. You can bet that the C70 isn't going to end its 16-year run quietly.

The C70 Inscription, unveiled at the LA Auto Shows, boasts a plethora of exclusive upgrades and features. Some of the most noticeable changes include a painted grille; 18-inch, chrome wheels; and distinction 'Inscription' badging. The inside of the convertible gains a leather-covered dashboard, Sovereign Hide upholstery, custom embroidery with contrasting stitching, and aluminum inlays. And you can bet that under the hood of the Insciption is the tried-and-true turbocharged, 2.5-liter, five-cylinder, 230-horsepower engine.

If you want to get your hands on one of these limited-production models, (only 2,000 worldwide), you better hurry! Once production of the Volvo C70 ends at the company's Uddevalla factory in Sweden, a brand-new convertible will take its place. Well, at least that's what we've heard in the rumor mill. Either way, we're sure Volvo has something innovative up their sleeve to fill the space left behind by the C70.

That said, be sure to stay tuned with McLaughin Volvo to stay up-to-date on the latest Volvo news and updates.
